Insurance and Direct Billing at Dc Chiropractic
We direct bill 41 insurers and benefit plans for chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture in Markham.
Does DC Chiropractic offer direct billing?
Yes. DC Chiropractic offers direct billing for chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture. We send the claim to your insurer at your visit. You pay any amount your plan does not cover. We direct bill 41 insurers and plans, and the full list is below.
With direct billing, you do not pay the whole fee up front and wait for a cheque. It does not change what your plan covers. Your plan still sets the yearly limit, the share it pays and any rules about referrals.

Information to bring for direct billing
Bring your benefits card or plan details to your first visit. We need three things: the name of your insurer, your plan or policy number, and your member ID. Does your plan come through a spouse or parent? Then bring the plan member's name and date of birth too. With these details ready, we can send the claim at your visit.
How much will my plan cover?
Your plan sets the amount it pays, not the clinic. Most plans pay a share of each visit up to a yearly maximum. Some also set a limit per visit. Before you book, look up your limits in your plan booklet or your insurer's app. That way the balance at your visit is not a surprise.
Our current prices are on the fees page. A first chiropractic appointment costs $140, and massage therapy starts at $85 for 30 minutes.
Does OHIP cover chiropractic or massage therapy?
No. OHIP does not pay for chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine or acupuncture at a private clinic like ours. Most patients use health benefits from work, school or a private plan to help with these costs. Many plans give each type of care its own yearly limit, so check each one you plan to use.
Do I need a doctor's referral for my claim?
You do not need a referral to book at DC Chiropractic. Some plans still ask for a doctor's note before they pay for massage therapy or other care. Check your plan's rules before your first visit. That way your insurer will not turn down the claim after your treatment. A quick call to your insurer settles it.
