DC Chiropractic Markham is a family chiropractic clinic at 7 Joseph Street in Markham Village, behind the Scotiabank on Main Street. Each of our four chiropractors is a registered chiropractor in Ontario and a member of the College of Chiropractors of Ontario. You can also book massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture here. We have served Markham since 2017 and stay open until 8:00 PM Monday to Thursday.
Dr. Daniel Corallo leads the chiropractic team. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2017, the year the clinic opened. He holds Webster Technique certification and trained in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University.
New patients are welcome, and you do not need a referral from your family doctor to book. We also keep some same-day and next-day appointments open for people who are in pain and cannot wait a week.

Our chiropractors have different clinical interests. Dr. Daley has a special interest in pregnancy, postpartum and children's care. Care during pregnancy, after birth and for children
Dr. Corallo and Dr. Daley hold Webster Technique certification, and Dr. MacTavish leads the postpartum classes. Dr. Daley has added training in primitive reflexes and tongue-tie care.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor in Ontario?
No, you do not need a referral from your family doctor to see a chiropractor in Ontario. Some benefit plans still ask for a doctor's note before they pay a claim. Check your plan booklet before your first visit, or call your insurer if you are not sure. That way your claim goes through after your treatment.
What happens at my first chiropractic appointment?
At your first appointment, your chiropractor asks about your health history, examines you, explains what they find and builds a care plan with you. Treatment follows if it is right for you and you agree to it. Bring your benefits card, a list of your medications and any X-ray or MRI reports. Your chiropractor explains the possible risks, such as mild soreness for a day or two, and asks for your consent first.

How often should you see a chiropractor?
There is no set number. How often you come depends on your condition, how long you have had it and how your body responds to care. Your chiropractor sets a plan at your first visit and reviews it as you go. Ask how many visits they expect and what you can do at home between visits.
When should you not see a chiropractor?
See a medical doctor or go to an emergency department first if back pain comes with loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness in the groin. The same applies to new weakness in both legs, a fever, or weight loss you cannot explain. Pain after a serious fall or a car crash needs a medical check first. Your chiropractor looks for these signs during your first exam.
