New Patients at Dc Chiropractic in Markham

How to book, what to bring and what happens at your first visit. We are accepting new patients for chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture.

Is DC Chiropractic accepting new patients?

Yes. DC Chiropractic is accepting new patients for chiropractic care, massage therapy, naturopathic medicine and acupuncture. We keep some same-day and next-day appointments open, so call if you are in pain and need care soon. You do not need a referral from your family doctor to book a visit at our Markham clinic.

How do I book my first appointment?

Book online through our Jane booking page, or call (416) 371-9199. Online booking lets you choose a practitioner, a type of visit and a time that suits you. If you are not sure who to see, call us and tell us what is going on. Our front desk can help you choose the right practitioner and visit length.

Before your first visit

Three steps make your first visit smoother. Fill in the intake form we email to you, check your benefits, and gather any reports about your problem. The intake form arrives by email after you book. When you complete it at home, your practitioner can spend more of your appointment on you rather than on paperwork.

Fill in your intake form

The form asks about your health history, your main concern and any medications you take. Answer as fully as you can. If something does not fit the form, bring it up at your visit.

Check your benefits

Look up your coverage for the type of care you are booking. We direct bill 41 insurers and benefit plans, and our insurance and direct billing page lists every one.

Gather your reports

If you have had an X-ray, an MRI or a specialist visit for the same problem, bring the reports. They show your practitioner what other providers have already checked.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring your benefits card, a list of any medications and supplements you take, and any reports or imaging results about your problem. Wear or bring comfortable clothes that let you move freely, because your practitioner may check how you move. Arrive a few minutes early if you still need to finish your intake form.

Here is a short checklist for the day:

  • Your benefits card or plan details, for direct billing
  • A list of your medications and supplements
  • X-ray, MRI or specialist reports, if you have them
  • Comfortable clothing

What happens at your first visit?

Your first visit starts with a conversation. Your practitioner goes over your intake form, your health history, your main concern and the goals you want to work toward. A first chiropractic visit then includes a clinical exam, a diagnosis and a care plan built for you. Treatment starts once you understand the plan and agree to it.

You can ask questions at any point. If your practitioner thinks another kind of care would help you more, they will tell you and explain why.

Who will I see at DC Chiropractic?

DC Chiropractic has four chiropractors, a naturopathic doctor and two registered massage therapists. Dr. Allyshia Daley has a special interest in pregnancy, postpartum and children's care. DC Chiropractic direct bills 41 insurers and benefit plans, so you pay only what your plan does not cover. Our fees page lists every fee.
